PC freezes on startup Solved

Question

Hello, can you help me please?
So, my neighbor's computer is completely frozen. Let me explain: when we turn it on, it boots up until the login screen, and you can see the wallpaper, but nothing else, so there are no icons on the desktop or the taskbar below. We can't do anything except look at the wallpaper, and when we try to boot it in safe mode, it doesn't start and crashes.

Hi,

For the issues with the PC stuck on the desktop with no access to the start menu, you can try this.

Turn off the computer
Disconnect all USB peripherals
Unplug the power cord
Remove the battery if it's a laptop
Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds
Put the battery back
Plug in the power cord
Start the computer

If that doesn't work, you can try this:

Press CTRL+ALT+DELETE to access the task manager
Then go to the File option and select Run (new task)
In the window that appears (Run), type the following command (c:/windows/system32/restore/rstrui.exe)

This will execute the system restore.
Choose a date prior to your issue and start the restoration.
You will get your system operational again.

Hello, I have the same problem and I followed all the steps here... and my desktop appears and disappears intermittently for 4 seconds...

So I cannot access my START and have no access to documents or files.

I can access [ Ctrl-Alt-Delete ] and also the programs.

As well as write on the internet or listen to music without any problem, etc.

It seems that a file is conflicting, but which one!...???

- I did a scan with System Mechanic
- I updated Windows and ran a diagnostic
- I did a spyware scan and a virus scan

I even made space by deleting (only...) Word documents, mp3s, and videos

My desktop keeps flashing!

Hello everyone,

so I've had exactly the same problem as Princess02 with one exception, which is that my ALT+CTRL+DEL doesn't work at all, I'm stuck on the screen with my wallpaper, a mouse that occasionally responds, nothing else works. (I'm using Windows Pro)
I've tried using a Windows CD and everything, but there's no reaction.
So I would like to know if anyone has a solution? Or if I'm good to buy a new hard drive or even a new computer x.x

It's all simple

Effectively turning off your computer directly can have consequences, such as losing documents or even damaging the hard drive over time. I read your problem, and I must say it is quite complicated. Even I am a bit lost. But if you made a backup of your hard drive when you bought your computer, then try to reinstall all the programs. Good luck. You can use UBUNTU to back up your data!! You download a live CD that you burn to BOOT and you then launch it on your computer after making some changes in the BIOS configuration..

Hello, if your PC is not working like all the examples above, try to fix it with the Windows CD or, try to go into safe mode (F8 at boot) and then do a proper restore! At least 1 day interval between the faulty startup of your COMPUTER; IF it still doesn't work, then grant one last wish to your computer and format IT! (OS CD required!)

For anyone who says they no longer have their icons on their desktop, you can try doing this (it worked for me):

1) Go to your desktop by closing all open tabs.
2) Right-click on the desktop (but not on any icons or gadgets)
3) Click on "View".
4) Click on "Show desktop icons" and if you have gadgets that have also disappeared, then click on "Show desktop gadgets".
