Language in NVIDIA Control Panel Solved

Question

Good evening everyone, Please, could someone tell me how to set French as the default language for the control panel, which is mostly in English? I've searched a lot but haven't found anything concrete. I have a HP DV9610ef laptop, I'm using Vista, GPU processor: NVIDIA GeForce 8400 M GS Driver version: 280.26 (from 08/03/2011). Also, there's no way to copy from the panel to translate, maybe there's a trick? Thanks in advance.   Configuration: Windows Vista / Firefox 7.0.1

Re, I didn't find a Release Note in French for the driver in question (if it's indeed "Release 280 Graphics Drivers for Windows - Version 280.26" you're talking about): english only! But it's available for download in pdf format: http://fr.download.nvidia.com/Windows/280.26/280.26-Win7-WinVista-Notebook-Release-Notes.pdf

Here’s an important point to note: after uninstalling the existing driver, another driver installs itself automatically, and apparently, there’s no way to prevent it. However, at the restart prompt, I chose to restart later, and right away, I launched the installation of the new driver I selected in French. Everything went smoothly; it seems that in this case, it works in safe mode, at least the text is in the same large font. Hello,  I did a bit of Googling and found some topics where users were complaining about the inability to change the language of the NVIDIA Control Panel interface: some managed to find solutions but by messing with the NVIDIA drivers installed on their computer.  Too complicated and too risky for me!  So, I was wondering if you might have downloaded the English driver from the international NVIDIA site. However, the "reputed" French version is on this official download link: https://www.nvidia.fr/Download/driverResults.aspx/35134/fr.  Warning: you will have some preliminary checks to perform, particularly regarding the presence and compatibility of a GPU on your HP.  I advise you to update your HP drivers beforehand and create a restore point.  You might also want to uninstall your current version (I don't know the procedure) before downloading and installing: there should be NVIDIA documentation on this subject.
