Hello,
I took the LiveBox on 07/03/2008 for the Unlimited Internet and Phone Offer (no subscription).
I had the installation done by a company (Borloo law) to avoid any issues.
Since then, I’ve had nothing but problems with my unlimited phone (which conforms to LiveBox standards), no
ringing and directed straight to the LB voicemail (even though settings are OK), or ringing but unable to take the
call, or unable to call at all or then the Orange message:
“the number –mine- is not allocated”… (and yet I can use it!)
I called xxx times to 3900, (between 2 and 8 minutes waiting...) every time I get:
- “unplug and plug the LB back in”… (without result of course since I did that before calling)
- “we don’t see anything, everything is normal on our end”
- “call the installer, it’s their problem… everything is fine on our end!” I call the installer’s customer service
… the call center is in Morocco… where I get insulted as a racist
because I ask them to repeat what they say in very
poor French… after much fiddling (unplug-replug..) I’m told to call 3900!!!! and I’m playing ping-pong between 3900 and Morocco… with no results!
- “we’ll schedule an appointment with a specialist… Saturday between 10am and 12pm”… at 11:50am a call from the specialist… who finds nothing… of course everything had returned to normal last night!
- “we’ll schedule an appointment with a specialist Friday between 4:30pm and 6:00pm – we are on Monday and no one is available before that! – you need to be patient”
- I ask to speak with a supervisor from their call center… who calls me back on
my cell after reviewing my file… and I’ll give you a thousand guesses,
he had me do some fiddling… “unplug – plug back in…”
- “we’ll reschedule an appointment with a specialist between 4:30pm and 8:00pm!” I wait at home
for the specialist’s call… well no call… no message… nothing… “go fuck yourself dear customer!”
- “to avoid being bothered, why don’t you take another line with a subscription
and then 05…. will switch to 09… and you can call without issues?”… it's so obvious why haven’t I thought of that before… but of course! But who do they think they are?
- “you should remove the filter from your phone socket and try again without it…”
I don’t have a filter on the socket…
“what do you mean you don’t have a filter? Look carefully you have one!”
and on top of that, they think I'm an idiot, a fool, I don’t have a filter!
… and they hang up on me!
What’s surprising is… nothing comes from them… I don’t touch anything… and everything returns
to normal after a few hours… and a few hours later everything goes wrong again! But it doesn’t come from them!
I wonder what the point of 3900 is since I have only encountered “polite nice” people who are incapable
(since no solution has been found) and I’m not even talking about the responsible people and expert specialists…
I know that:
- fortunately I have my cell phone… (and my plan is disappearing fast)
- Orange is engaging in false advertising (what’s the point of unlimited phone?)
- their customer service is a monstrous scam
- their equipment is junk
- but a little positive point: I can surf… sometimes slowly… but I manage…
Well, if I have to be bothered like this for another 11 months!!!...
A simple question: what happens when an elderly person takes their “Exceptional Offer”
Internet + unlimited phone + TV… for €39.90 and encounters all these problems? They take out a line with a subscription, give up on the Internet… and pay €39.90/month… for nothing.
If that’s not theft and fraud!!!… what are our beloved politicians doing… there is work for them here!!!
