I don't think he hacks addresses; he scams people on items sold on Le Bon Coin, so be careful. They want delivery only with Chronopost and only with PayPal, and then they send a fake PayPal email saying that they have transferred the funds to our account, but they will only be unlocked after sending the package, which is obviously false!!!
I almost got caught, but I'm not that naive!

I no longer use PAYPAL, too much hassle; instead, I use KWIXO, which is more restrictive for hackers.

I just received a purchase offer from someone in 37200 for the tableware I had put up for sale. He asked me to contact him via email, which I did without thinking. After reading your warnings about these numbers, I removed the listing for the Christofle silverware and hope he won't hack either the listing or my account, but I would like more informed opinions on this scam. ?????

The only thing is also not to include the phone number and to specify the reasons in the body of the ad by stating "first contact by email to avoid spam texts" and it works if the offer is interesting...

I received a text message in the same way following my ad on leboncoin for the sale of a new and authentic designer handbag, and then I wondered "but how did they get my phone number?"

This is obviously a scam coming from Ivory Coast. They usually use the names of well-known people in Africa: MASSOU, BALMONT, TIZON, etc.

It was only after researching that I understood their modus operandi, as LEBONCOIN has turned a deaf ear on this matter.

Apparently, they focus on fraud (fake PayPal documents) rather than hacking.

Lastly, ESTONIA is getting involved too...
