Patch assassin's creed v 1.02

Hello, I just bought the game Assassin's Creed Director's Cut Edition. The game is great, but when I kill someone or when I die, the game freezes on the screen for a few minutes. It's playable but quite unpleasant. However, I found a patch (v1.02) that fixes this little problem, but unfortunately when I try to install it, it says it is only compatible with v1.00. What should I do? Thank you in advance for your help.

PS: my video card is an ATI Radeon 5770/6770 and my operating system is Windows 7 64 bit.
