Photo transfer from PC to SD memory card

I would also like to put my photos back on my SD memory card. Why?? Because I received a digital photo frame that only reads SD cards like mine. But I’d like to add other photos I had taken previously, not just the latest ones!! I tried, the photo name appears on my card when I use the computer but I can’t see it with the camera when I reinsert my card, or even when I put my card in the frame. it’s enough just, (I just tested renaming photos correctly to transfer, without paying attention to the format or anything else ... in the example if the photo(s) were renamed on the PC, you rename them one more time e.g.: on the PC (dad in the garden) = cimg0025.jpg before I could transfer them but not read them on the camera now it’s OK, this allows you to view old photos while traveling for example without a PC frame etc.. you just need to have several SD cards of 2GB or more not bad)

I just transferred more than 800 photos to my 2GB SD card. But before that I resized them (in batches) to 1024x768 and then renamed them with the following software [URL=https://www.casimages.com/][img]http://nsm02.casimages.com/img/2010/02/09//100209050456354525407204.jpg[/img][/URL] and it does this very well. the numbering is good, for example CIMG0001.jpg to CIMG0896.jpj. good result, it works very well; I could preview them with the camera.

I’m facing the same problem as nhkien and pitchounette578. But why, you might ask, copying photos from the computer to an SD card. It’s rather the other way around. Okay.
The reason I’m doing this is that I tend to keep quite a lot of photos on my device’s card (even after the copy to the computer has been made) so I can easily show a particular photo.

The downside is here. From time to time I do delete a few photos anyway. I take new photos. After taking them, if I want to view them directly on the camera, no problem. The latest photos are all there and they are consecutive. On the other hand, at the moment of transferring to the computer, these recent photos are all scattered among the photos I’ve kept on the card. In fact, the new ones have taken the spaces freed by the photos I deleted. So it’s not easy to transfer. You have to search for the new photos and select them one by one.

So I thought about formatting my card to copy only the few photos I want to “have at hand” "" I tried this on a 128MB memory stick from a Sony DSC-P32. The copy works, but I can’t view them on the camera’s screen. Yet they’re indeed on the card because in the transfer to computer module I can see them. On the card, the taken photos are in a DCIM / 101MSDCF directory and another directory is always empty MISC and if I copy into any directory or subdirectory, viewing on the camera is still impossible.

The problem of my scattered photos mainly occurs on an XD card of 2GB from an Olympus μ840. Before trying the operation I did on the memory stick, I wanted to know if anyone had already encountered this problem and, with success, had found a solution.

Hello,

Your Photographer is perfectly right about the formatting of your card, always through the Photos device.

Then transfer your photos onto the card by removing your card via the icon in the taskbar to be sure that the transfer is fully completed; this could be the cause of the question marks for some.

Moreover make sure that the extension is compatible with the photographers' terminals.
Extension .jpg ensures recognition by all devices at the photographer’s.

Also check if some files include the ~ symbol in their names.
