save to root sd

Hello,
I am looking for someone to explain how to save to the root of an SD card because I want to reinstall Route 66 for my GPS and it asks me to install files in the root of the SD.

example: I download my file under the name 4a--
1 download the file 4a
2 for Mac drag it into the card for PC copy the file 4a and put it into the card (start>workstation>SD card(:C)>paste)
there you go, after following these steps you have just added a file to the ''root'' of the SD card.

for those who have a file that serves to activate a program or ''a member of the program'' to copy this file into the root you need to follow step 1 but for step 2 you will need to copy it into the program folder

Saving a file to the root of an SD card means copying and pasting to the root (E:\"Paste here"), pasting after the first slash.
