Issue with a SONY error e:61:10 Solved

Hello
I have had the Sony P52 digital camera for several years, a very practical and efficient device; but it fell out of my pocket a few months ago and since then it displays the quite classic error according to what I have noticed while surfing the net: the error e:61:10! This means that this code appears on startup with a long beep, after a long black screen! This error concerns the optical zoom. The digital zoom still works.
I went to the store, but they told me that the repair cost was very high, so I bought a more efficient one, but I would like to try to repair the old one because it was very practical and small for me.

From what I have read on English forums, after a rough translation into French on Voilà, those who had this problem (which is a large number) have tapped the bottom left of the device and it started working again without error.
I wanted to know if this has ever happened to you and what you did, if you managed to repair it and what you would advise me since I have nothing to lose with this one

Same problem, same solution: a sharp tap with the palm while the camcorder is on (HDR CX 520), then remove and reinsert the battery and it works.
In fact, I wasn't surprised; that's how I recalibrate the hard drive of my Archos when it freezes...
As a consequence, be careful with drops; the disks have become fragile when it gets to that point...

It works with a 2.1 Cyber-shot that I was about to throw in the trash.
Don’t hesitate to tap left or right several times (in your hands, not on the ground or with a hammer...) to make the error signal disappear and get the photos clear again.

Here was a message of this kind on my device too, except mine was: E:61:00! It's thanks to your message that I was able to recover it :) I gave it two hits with the palm of my hand on the bottom left corner!! After the first hit, the message no longer appeared but it was still blurry, so I gave it another hit (not too hard either) and it went back to normal

I'm stoked, I've got a Sony Cybershot 5.1 dsc-w1, I had it for 6 months when it showed the error message E:61:00 because it fell on the ground.
Same pattern, the seller told me it would cost more to repair than to buy a new one. It’s been sitting at the back of a closet for a year, and I had a flash to check here since I always find a solution!!! My mother has a Cyber-shot DSC W1 and two days ago she wanted to take a photo but it was blurry, then the zoom got stuck and wouldn’t close anymore. Good evening,  I had the same issue with a Sony D-W1 (first, it couldn’t focus with autofocus, then the zoom stopped working and I couldn’t retract the lens when turning it off). Hello,  I just dropped my Sony Cybershot camera and the zoom is stuck in the open position. When I force the zoom closed by hand, the message E:61:00 appears. Hi everyone, for a Sony HVR FX1E there are two solutions less daunting than banging on your gear (essential for me). 1st solution: the reset works every time, but sometimes during a full shooting day redoing your camera setup can be a bit irritating...  2nd solution: Much quicker but only works 80% of the time, turn off your camcorder, point the lens down or up, turn the camcorder back on...  For those who are familiar with this problem, you will notice the particular sound that the camcorder makes at startup. Now try the experiment, miracle the sound and the problem disappear.  The focus is an action, it's a mechanism we activate, sometimes a "micro gear" can be misaligned and gravity can help us compensate for a possible manufacturing defect or damage caused by an impact (my case). Hello;  Having owned a HDR CX550 VE camcorder since its release in 2010, I've never had any issues with it despite extensive use. Last year it had a small fall with no major consequences except for the tapped hole for attaching a tripod. The optical part is protected by a sunshade, which is better than nothing.  Anyway, this week when I turned on the camera, I got a blurry image on the screen with that famous message. I turned it off, removed the battery, and turned it on several times until it was operational again.  In the meantime, while doing a quick search, I discovered this topic on the forum which reassured me a bit.  Yesterday, the camera started acting up again: a clear image but it becomes blurry during a zoom in or out, and later a blurry image even in a fixed shot.  I've tried tapping gently around the lens a few times and everything returned to normal.  But I'm not getting my hopes up, it will happen again; in the meantime I hope it lasts as long as possible, especially since I use it very often and I've been very satisfied with it until now.  Here is my testimony, which adds to the others and also helps keep this topic from falling into oblivion.

For my part, the disappearance of the error is not permanent, it even comes back regularly which is quite annoying. In the short or medium term, I will have no choice but to invest in a new camcorder because for the use I have, it needs to be immediately available upon power-up, whereas sometimes it takes quite a few "taps" to get things back in order.
