Hello,

Can I equip my mini chain with AQ luxury black speakers of 3.5 watts?

Configuration: Windows Vista / Internet Explorer 7.0

Yes, they are indeed wireless, which is one of the reasons I chose this model. However, I can't determine if the advertised power of 3.5 watts is sufficient (specifically, whether we are talking about natural power or RMS power). Thank you for your responses.

Power is the absorption that the speaker can receive, but power also contributes to immersion; however, a speaker can be very powerful and have under-amplification. The most important aspect is the bandwidth expressed in hertz, which should be broad but also have a good efficiency expressed in "dB 1w/1m".

Here for this article, we can see that there are "batteries" to be included, so it's a portable system, which means that the amplification power is reduced to not overly consume the capacity provided by the batteries.

According to the site, the power of the speakers is 3 watts RMS, that is to say, 2x1.5 watts RMS; the amplifier consumes a maximum of 6 watts at 12 volts, which is 500 mA; we can use 6 alkaline batteries, so the system can be powered with 9 volts.

The big problem is the technical specifications compared to the price!

Bandwidth is 65 Hz to 12 kHz; "it reproduces the bass, midrange, and low treble but not the high treble." Something will be missing for the ear.

The efficiency of the amplifier is very, if not too weak for the output sound to be musical (50 dB), just good enough to enhance the bass but poor for the reproduction of midrange and treble.

For me, this wireless set is definitely put together hastily and cheaply but sold at a very high and excessive price; I wouldn't give even 30€.
