Listen to music while shutting down the computer.

Solved

Hello,

I often listen to the web radio on my computer, but it requires me to leave it open. I would like to know if there's a way to change a setting so I can close the lid of my laptop while continuing to listen to the web radio.
I am using Windows 7.

Thank you

    Hello,
For your problem, I have the solution
just copy and paste this into your Windows Explorer:

    Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options\System Settings

and set When I close the lid to do nothing in both options (plugged in and battery)

Then click save changes at the bottom and that's it!!!
:) don't forget to mark the topic as resolved

Thank you for your help. I'm still in college, and I take the bus. At college, we have small laptops, and my bus ride is long. I would like to listen to music without leaving it open and putting it in my bag to let my earphones out.

    Hello,

you just need to go to the "Godmod" file, if you haven't created it, do this:
Create a new folder (on the desktop for example)
    Rename this folder to: GodMode.{ED7BA470-8E54-465E-825C-99712043E01C}
    Confirm (press ENTER)
The folder name becomes GodMode and the icon changes:
Double click on the icon to access the panel
then go to the "Power Options" section and look for "Change what closing the lid does"
Choose what suits you and you're done

Why make it simple when you can make it complicated? ... another one going to the basement to turn off the bedroom...

People don't even respond anymore, and sometimes they don't even say thank you on this site, why bother...
