Hello,
the low problems generally do not come from the mule's configuration.
after checking any firewalls; leave an automatic IP address.
1- click on START
- then RUN which will open a console.
2- type "cmd" then press enter
3- type "ipconfig" all together then press enter
4- a kind of small table will appear, look for the line where it says IP ADDRESS. numbers should be written in front like 192.168.1.??
5- note these 4 digits especially the last one; here the question mark.
6- open an internet window, and type in the address bar: (where WWW.ETC is normally written) 192.168.1.1 then press enter.
7- you will then access your BOX. your login and password may be required. usually, it’s "ADMIN" for both.
8- whatever your box is, there should be something written "LAN SERVER" or LAN. click on it.
9- you arrive at a new window. this is where we open the ports of the mule, basically, we open the doors to let the data through.
there should be lan server written and below add. click on add.
10- now fill in the boxes
_server name: whatever you like
_access enabled: yes
_protocol: udp or tcp (note that it is necessary to open 2 ports for the mule, 1 in udp to which we will assign a value e.g. 4661 and a tcp port to which we will assign another value, e.g.: 4671.
so let’s choose TCP
_ you will then be asked from port ?? to port ??. for TCP I had said 4671 (for example)
which gives from port 4671
to port 4671
11- then the IP address is requested. this is where we look at what we noted at the beginning: an address like 192.168.1.??
that’s it, we click on apply then save, in short, we save what we have done.
you just need to do the same thing (click on lan server, then add) but with the UDP port with for example 4661. the IP address does not change.
make sure in the mule that the open ports correspond
for that, click on preferences then connection and check that the numbers match.
I really explained it for the beginners, detailing more is harder.
the process takes a maximum of 10 seconds once understood.
good luck!-

I have a Livebox Mini and even detailed like that, I can't find it. No matter what your box is, there should be something written somewhere like "LAN SERVER" or LAN. We click on that.
9- We arrive at a new window. This is where we open the ports for the mule; basically, we open the doors to let the data through.
There should be LAN SERVER written and below it, add. We click on add. So if you could tell me where it is, please, thank you. -

Hello
You need to open the ports you have for eMule in your modem/router
and check your firewall to allow eMule
give details about your equipment if you don't know how to do it
and a little trip over there won't hurt

Bye. -

First, you need to disable the firewall for the duration of the operation; you can always turn it back on later.
Then open your router's IP address, which is 192.xxx.x.x (you should have it in your documents, otherwise call your provider (e.g., Bluewin). Type this number into your browser to access the router configuration.
There is a section for NAT configuration, and that's where you need to add EMULE. But that’s not enough; you also need to allow your computer as a remote access.
Next, you need to go into EMULE and set the ports that are in your configuration (TCP 4662 UDP 4672) for my case.
Finally, if you are indeed on high ID, you can re-enable your firewall.-
You type in the address bar of Internet Explorer 192.168.1.1, just that, no addresses and then you hit enter and there you'll have a whole choice.
If I remember correctly, you need to go into the router, before or after clicking on security, and there you set it up as your colleague specified, first by creating a port opening in UDP that you name emule with the number he gave you 4771 or something like that, I don't remember exactly but those settings are good.
And finally, you do exactly the same thing in UDP.
You should end up with a small table with 2 columns, the same except that one is UDP and the other TCP.
If you think a little and follow your colleague's instructions closely, you'll realize it's a piece of cake.
Catch you later, man.

I just downloaded Dreamule 3.2 and I'm still on Low ID? Why?
Something else?
I couldn't open the ports for eMule, I can't access the gateway and when I type ipconfig I get this IP 10.11.64.? something like that and not a 192.168.1.1 like the others. Can I know why?
Thank you for your help please
Best regards,
Mehdi

Hi,
I don't know why you are always on Low ID. In my case, I don't have direct access to my router because I live in an old apartment with only one telephone socket, and the ADSL signal is transmitted through the 230 V power network via one transmitter and receiver.
I'm running XP, without any antivirus and without any service pack either.
My port test is negative, and I had to install DreaMule 3.2. The only problem is that my P3's CPU constantly runs at 100%, and I have disconnections, but DreaMule works perfectly in High ID with the factory settings of my router.
However, I once encountered this problem when trying to manually select a server, and I was on Low ID. You need to restart DreaMule and enter in "connection" the update URL, like, for example, http://www.gruk.org/list.php, and let DreaMule connect automatically.
Normally, the connection should be in High ID.
Best regards.

In fact, what my biggest issue was is that I thought eMule had to recognize my ports, but what needs to be done first is for the router to recognize eMule. Well, I hope I helped.

Hello everyone, I had the same problem with low ID and I tried everything to open the router ports and all that, but nothing worked. Then one day, I decided to change programs because eMule was starting to annoy me with its low ID even though I had a pretty decent ratio of 1.84/1. So I downloaded lphant which asked me to choose a TCP UDP port between 1000 and I don't know what. I thought, at this point, why not, so I entered 1000 and 1001 respectively, and like a miracle, high ID. I figured the software must have opened the ports because after all these attempts I never succeeded, so I tried with eMule and got the same result. So a piece of advice, before messing with your router IP, try these numbers; maybe it'll work without all that hassle.

Hello,
I’m on “emule plus” and I too am faced with this notion of “lowid”.
How do you turn off the Firewall?
As for the IP address, do I have to ask my internet service provider for it? Because according to the paperwork I have, I don’t have anything specific.
To let you know, my router is an AOL box - 3298.
Thank you in advance

Hello Tagada,
First of all, thank you for your reply.
I found the IP where you indicated it to me, but not being particularly skilled, I couldn't use it.
Actually, I based myself on Article 10 above from Max012.
Could you please guide me through the process?
With my thanks.

Good evening,
For those who are tired of being lowID, here is one solution among others that allows you to easily be high ID while keeping all the ports of your router closed.
In our time, with the rise of certain increasing anti-P2P pressures, it is important to be well informed, and having all the ports of your router closed allows for better protection, which is not negligible.
I personally use Dreamule 3.2 which offers this possibility; it is an excellent program that I highly recommend and has the advantage of being 100% compatible with standard Mule temporary files and 100% free. My speeds now range from 100 to 500 Kbits while keeping the ports closed, file management is also more efficient, and configuration is very simple.
Sincerely

I've managed to switch to High ID, but it only works about 1 time out of 3; otherwise, I'm on Low ID. I don't understand. Does anyone have an explanation and/or a solution?
Thanks -
I found the solution.
I had the problem during a power outage, eMule remained on low ID.
The local IP address changed by itself. You need to modify the TCP and UDP ports of the router and set the new local IP. For me, I added +1 at the end. Then I restarted eMule and got High ID. -
Good evening everyone, I just formatted my laptop!!!
Before I had Emule and I wasn't on low ID...
And now I'm on low ID!!!!
There are 2 of us connected to the same Livebox and my partner is on high ID and I'm not, what should I do???
Thank you
