Great gameplay for strategy games

Hello,

I just built my PC:

Asus A8N32 SLI Deluxe motherboard
AMD Athlon X2 4200+ 2.2 GHz processor
Geforce 7600 GT 256 MB graphics card
Kingston DDR400 2x1 GB RAM
40 GB IDE hard drive with 2 MB cache

BIG PROBLEM!!!

When I play strategy games, it lags like crazy even on minimum settings!!!
I tested Age of Empires II, Age of Empires III, Empire Earth I and II.

And when I play FPS games, it runs well!
I tested Medal of Honor Allied Assault, Serious Sam II, Doom 3.

What's going on because I'm really frustrated!!!

Please help me!!!

    Hello
    search for the patches for the games you mentioned because there are compatibility issues with XP (incompatibility)
    you should be able to find that on the games' websites!

    Even after updating Age of Empires III through the option in the game menu, it's still lagging

    And Empire Earth II is bugging with the patches

    I'm really fed up and absolutely need to find a solution!!!

    Hello, I have a little problem. I bought the game C&C First Decade and I can't get C&C Generals to work. However, I have the game's box, and it says it requires Windows XP, a CPU of 800 MHz or faster, 256 MB of RAM or more, 9.8 GB of space, an 8x faster DVD-ROM, video DirectX 8.1, and sound DirectX 8.1. My computer has an AMD 2500+, 1.5 GB of RAM, and for the video card, I have a GeForce 7600 GT. Each time I start it, after a few minutes of gameplay, the screen freezes and the game crashes. Can someone please help me?

    Well, your problem isn't really a problem... you shouldn't post "I'm lagging"

    Games require different things. Poorly optimized ones might lag if your PC isn't top-notch, while another game that's just as beautiful will run perfectly because it's well optimized...
