Hello,
I have been experiencing a recurring issue with my internet connection for a week, which was previously working perfectly.
3 out of 4 times when I open a webpage in Chrome or Firefox, the page does not load, and I receive an error:
Error 105: Unable to resolve the server's DNS address
I have researched online and checked my firewall as indicated on several websites, but nothing has changed; the problem persists and I don't know what to do anymore.
Could you help me?
Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 534.24

Well then guys, in order of what to do when things get stuck:
go to Start > Run > cmd
and in the command prompt type: ping 192.168.1.1
If all packets arrive at their destination, it means that the problem isn't with your livebox and that it's working fine
then in the command prompt type: nslookup www.facebook.com (or the site that's failing)
If you get IP addresses in response, it means your DNS is working ... (which would be surprising given the error message ...)
If it doesn't work, I think it's a problem with your ISP's DNS server ...
If you have IP addresses, try connecting to them with your browser ... just to see, you never know: http://adresse_ip
There you go, let us know what happens ^^

I have Windows 7 and I can't find "Run" anymore
I should mention that I am a beginner; if you could help me with not too complicated terms, that would be very kind of you
Thank you in advance
Dominique
