Simulate a smaller resolution screen

Hello everyone,

I am a photographer and I am trying to create my own website.

But I have a big problem; not knowing how to code, I use Webacappella on Mac.
I have a 21' widescreen and a resolution of 1680x1050, but not everyone has the same thing and I've realized that some people can only see part of my site...

Is there a site or software that allows you to see how a website appears by simulating the resolution on a smaller or larger screen?
I've been searching but I can't find anything...

    Hello,
    To create a website that looks right on any screen, what you need to do is make the site fit within a width of about 1000px and preferably centered.

      I had made one 900 px wide but I realized that on a friend's mobile (I didn't think to check the screen definition) part of it was visible (the left side) the right part of the site wasn't visible even though the site is centered...

      But I am surprised that the idea of a site that shows the different screen resolutions doesn't exist... it could be very useful for web creators or like me for photographers

      Yes, it exists and it's what I told you in the previous message...
      except that you work entirely in Flash which is slightly different, here it is not your divs that need to be set to absolute but the dimensions of your fla file that need to be set in % and not in fixed size.

      The site displays perfectly at my resolution, but it is currently 1200px wide, and with a slightly lower resolution, I find that too tight.
      Of course, there are solutions for the resolution, but it's a real headache.
      For example, you can set the width of your main block to 96%, and then you need to check the sizes of your images to ensure their width is in %.

      Ah yes, by the way, I almost forgot, there is a nice tool you could use, it's the "Web Developer" plugin for Firefox.

      Yes !! I didn't know about Web Developer and its resize function will be really useful for me! That's exactly what I was looking for!
      @ Tiralia thanks as well but they're all paid apps or for PC and I'm just an amateur... so there's no way I'm going to spend crazy amounts on my website... especially since I already have software licenses that cost me a lot and the same goes for the hardware...
