External Hard Drive Not Recognized/EssentielB

Hello,

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 4.0.1

My computer does not recognize my external hard drive with the Essentiel B case at all, while two days ago I tried it with another case and it worked. I have searched the entire forum for a solution but found nothing. I followed the methods that suggest going into disk management or device management, or even unchecking the power options box, anyway.... Is there any other solution to my problem or is my external hard drive completely DEAD two days after the first attempt?

I am desperate! And thanks in advance for all your suggestions!

      Since I don't see it on my desk or anywhere else, I just unplugged it abruptly like that, is that bad?

      Sometimes there is a button to turn on, to press.
      It is next to the wiring.
      Try to see if you can find it.
