Hello,
When I try to open my EBP software, I get the following message: the specified file is not a MicroKernel file !!!!!!!!!! It indicates that a file may be damaged. I ran a scandisk, with no results. Everything is stuck, what can I do? Please help me, thank you.
Configuration: XP

    Possible solution:

Explore the EBP installation CD, open \products\tools\Pervasive V8 Wge and launch the setup file
    That should be fine.

      Hello,

I wanted to thank you because thanks to you, I understood that I couldn't open my accounting software because Pervasive SQL was not installed on my PC.
Have a great day and thank you again.

      Engie.

I uninstalled software that I had downloaded. I did have a warning that I might have a problem, but I went ahead anyway. When I tried to open my software, I got a message: wbtrv32.dll missing. I downloaded it from ccm and installed it in system32 and dllcache. Now, I have this error message: The specified file is not a microkernel file. What does that mean???

    re
in my opinion, you need to ask for the right .dll
    there's a site for that

I have downloaded the one that was indicated: wbtrv32.dll. Should I have placed it in system32 or dllcache as I did?

hello, I caught the train mid-journey, kudos to cyrilou for his solution that worked the first time, I had been stuck for several months. I couldn't open my EBP accounting file (message after password: error code 30 this file is not a MICROKERNEL file) I've had internet for 15 days, I have to admit it’s really helpful. THANK YOU AGAIN TO CYRILOU

I have the same problem: my software is brand new, purchased 3 months ago. Ebp replied that my software is no longer under warranty because there is only a 1-month warranty!!
So now they are offering me to subscribe to the new 2013 version, plus a maintenance contract, all for around €500 excluding tax.
Ultimately, when you think about it, we subscribed for software that is not even a year old, that no longer works, with a totally unrealistic warranty. Moreover, I have no CD of the software because it was bought online and downloaded; they can therefore keep me waiting as long as they want, and that every 6 months. Conclusion: I bought a simple accounting version in a big store, with a real CD, and a 2-year warranty. And contrary to what some well-trained liars say, accounting doesn't change every year; revenue remains revenue, a result remains a result, etc. Oh, I forgot: this super software cost me €120 including tax!!
