Hello,

So here it is, for the past 2 months, whenever there is a power outage or a reboot on my Livebox, it takes a very long time to restart, about 4-5 hours. The lights are initially red, then orange, and finally turn green after long hours of waiting. During this time, I have no internet or phone. If anyone knows what could be causing this or anything else... (oh yes, I forgot to mention that I called support, and they sent a technician who said he had fixed it, but nothing changed. Plus, I changed the box and still nothing.) I’m losing hope...

Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 534.16

Hi,

Do a reset,
http://assistance.orange.fr/livebox-remise-a-zero-3135.php

if the problems persist, request a replacement for the livebox, insist if necessary...

I have already tried the reset on the site, as well as the factory reset, nothing changes and we changed our Livebox a week ago hoping that it was that, but it didn't change anything, but thank you anyway :)

Are the filters and the plug okay?

Yes, everything is fine, but we wondered if it wasn't the general filter of the house.

Here is what I did as you told me, the result is: Satisfactory
processor: 39%
memory: 58%

Memory is a lot, even with 1 GB, if there isn't a joke on the Livebox firewall side or that of the antivirus, you might need to consider a possible cleanup.

Look at the firewall, XP? W7?

Another question, do you have the "Orange internet access manager"? If so, uninstall it; it’s useless and just creates bugs.

No, I don't have the access manager, but I didn't understand the story about the memory?

Check the firewall on the box, set to "medium".
If you have the Windows firewall, remove all exceptions.
If you have an antivirus suite firewall, reset the rules.

Then, if it still doesn't work, request a system scan on this site, the memory and CPU usage rates are suspicious, unless you have a very old PC.

No, my computer is quite recent, the firewall on the box is set to medium, and I don't have the Windows firewall, but the problem still happens even if the computer is not turned on or not connected to the box.

Have you checked the connections at the back of the box (ethernet, etc...)?

Yes, a technician came, he checked everything, then fiddled with 2-3 wires outside and told us it's fixed, but it didn't change anything at all...

Check this,

Start => settings => control panel => network connections => local area connection => right click => properties => Click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) => properties => general => click on "Obtain an IP address automatically" => click on "Obtain DNS server address automatically".

If you have Win7, look for IPV4.

Right-click in the bottom right on "Network and Sharing Center," open it, click on "Change adapter settings," right-click on "Properties," click on "Internet Protocol Version 4" to highlight it, click on "Properties,"

check the boxes "Automatically," click on "OK."..

Check also in your box that "DHCP server" is enabled.

I did everything you told me, thank you very much for taking the time to help me, the livebox is working normally again, really thank you, it's clear that Orange doesn't care about us.
