Hello,
I viewed the vsd file with a hex editor, which would be the Visio document format.
http://support.esrifrance.fr/outilsscripts/arcgis/arccatalog/geodatabase/gdbdiagrammer/gdbdiagrammer.html
It's impossible to read it with OpenOffice 1.1.5, which seems normal to me since it's a Microsoft format.
What software works on Linux?

Hello, so a late reply, but I only encountered the issue today,
To be able to open and edit Visio files, you need Open Office Draw
in order:
- Open your document in Visio... and yes, there's no other way at the beginning
-*in Visio* Edit menu/select all
-*in Visio* Edit menu/copy
-*in Draw* Edit menu/special paste
-*in Draw* Edit menu/select all
-*in Draw* right-click on your document; select "Split"
and that's it, you have transformed a document from a proprietary format to an open-source format
Best regards

Open your document in Vision....and yes, we have no choice at the beginning; So yes, if you don't have Vision, we're done here. Isn't that the user's problem? If you have Vision, you can use it, so why convert the document? A virtual PDF edit allows sending it to a third party. This solution makes no sense.
