How to read a .mus file

Hello, I have the same problem...
Files created with Composer. I downloaded Finale Reader. Can't open the files even though they have the .mus extension...
I have some scores created with Print Music. No problem opening those.
Yet the extension is the same.
Is there a solution?
I no longer have the Composer CD!
