Hello everyone,

I created a bootable USB drive with XP on it.
At least I think I did...
However, I am unable to boot from this USB drive. My first question is how can I tell if this drive is bootable? How can I check this?

Thank you for your help.

Configuration: Windows 2003 / Firefox 3.6.13

    Hi

First, check in the BIOS if you can boot from a USB drive. Usually, you can do this by pressing the Delete key at startup on your PC (I know if you have a laptop or desktop and depending on the brand)

Look in the boot order (Advanced Settings) like boot or boot settings...etc) and if you see usb flash/usb etc, set it as the first option. Then exit by saving everything.

However, if you have "mounted" a USB drive with XP on it, it might be possible that you made a mistake!

First, copy the entire contents of your XP CD to a directory that you previously created on your disk or partition, giving it a name of your choice.

    A good software for this:

    WinSetup: at this address:

And there you go! Generally speaking, it works!!!!!!!
