Paramètres CMOS incorrects Solved

Question

Hello,

This morning my PC didn't want to start working.

ASUS P5P 800S startup screen
Press del to run setup (non-functional)

I checked the connections of the cards etc.. the power supply and its fan, the processor fan.
Changed the battery. Restarted. DDR detection screen, keyboard, mouse, hard drive, USB ports all OK.
Message CMOS SETTINGS WRONG
PRESS F1 TO RUN SETUP
PRESS F2 TO LOAD DEFAULT VALUES AND CONTINUE
F1 or F2 keys not working.
DO YOU HAVE A SOLUTION

You just need to go into the BIOS and reset the date, time, and year, then press F10. It works for me.

Hello,

I have a problem starting the machine a error message appears:

Cmos setting Wrong and

Cmos date/time not set

On a P4P800 E deluxe motherboard with 1g RAM and Pentium 4 2.8ghz

I replaced the battery still the same!!

The Asus support tells me it's a BIOS problem check with the "national informatique" support for reset!!

Looking for a less expensive solution Thank you in advance

I have a problem with my PC that won't turn on and gives me this message:

CMOS settings wrong
USB device over current status detected
System will shut down after 15 minutes

If you could help me, I don't know what to do anymore...!

I have a solution...
I wanted to remove the password to enter the BIOS of my PC (American Megatrends) and I used the battery removal method for several hours (the jumper position change didn't work)... No more password and I was able to enter my BIOS, set the correct date, and I also changed the boot order (it had USB key, DVD drive, and hard disk in third), to place the HD first... That infamous CMOS SETUP WRONG message appeared and blocked the boot (I had to enter the BIOS and exit using F10 or ESC to complete the boot). After researching on CCM and these very traumatizing suggestions for my BIOS, I restored SET DEFAULTS (which reset the initial boot order) and no more blocking problems... GIVE IT A TRY!
