First of all, I want to let you know that I am quite advanced in the game. That's why I will help those who need it.
1) For the pufferfish: I caught it where the crate usually is, next to your shelter. It is brown with rounded teeth (and it's super ugly :-p) and don't worry, it's super slow and super easy to catch. It's rare, so don't give up on your first attempt. I tried several times in a row, and it didn't work. I caught it (totally by chance) when the sun was at its zenith, with my harpoon, and I ended up getting 4 or 5 at once. That's it for the pufferfish. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
2) The hammer: It is made from the handle that the doctor should give you. To get it, you need the pufferfish and also some insects. For that, make sure to search every rock to get all the necessary insects. Then, take everything to the doctor.
Then, you need a rock, a vine (I think) and the handle. Go to the object rock and you should be able to make the hammer.
3) The shovel: it's the farmer who gives it to you before one of her missions. She will give you two broken pieces that you will need to repair on the object rock.
4) To make the canoe: First, make sure your energy is at maximum. Then, you need the hammer and the chisel (to be obtained from the chief, before a mission). Go see the chief, then take the exit that is after his bed. You must find a tree trunk. Choose the second option (not examine) which should be "carve," I can't remember. Then, your character will start partially carving the trunk. After that, go rest in a shelter. When your energy is at maximum, go back to the canoe and repeat the same action two more times. Then, take the arrow that should appear if you leave the area and "use the canoe."
