download a video from a website Solved/Closed

Question

Hello,   there are some reports broadcasted on TV that are available on the TF1 and France 2 websites that I would like to download.  Actually, these are reports included in the news bulletins.   But I'm having trouble saving them to my hard drive.   What should I do?   I tried using WebCopier, but it took almost everything except the videos.   Has anyone succeeded?   Please help me, I need to share them with people who couldn't watch the videos.   Thank you.

Hello I would like to share my effective and practical way: a program in French. This program can help us download all the videos we want to keep. Just copy and paste the URL, and the download will automatically start. I often use it to keep shows from the internet.

It all depends on which videos you are retrieving and what the usage is. Of course, retrieving movies is piracy. Retrieving a report that was shown on TF1 in the news, it has already been broadcasted normally (I'm not very up to date on the laws). This can be compared to the same video that you would have recorded with your VCR, so it's tolerated.  There you go. I found a tool that works for reports on France 2; it’s a fairly lightweight software for all downloads, NET TRANSPORT. You just enter the link for the video, and that's it.

You can always use "Real Player v11" which allows you to download videos in .flv format, and that way you can download and convert them if you want. But if you want, you can play them with Real Player v11 itself or with the very dear VLC.

Hello,  Otherwise, a simple method is to look at all the media loaded on the page and then go directly to the address (sometimes initially hidden) of the file. On Safari (PC or Mac), you can open Window - Activities to see the loading of media. If it's a video, you'll definitely see a large file loading longer than the others; you just need to double click on the media to open it in a new window and use save as.
