My TV doesn't recognize my PS3 via HDMI

Hello, I bought a PS3 and I connected it to my TV via HDMI but it didn't recognize it. I did what I was told to do, which is to press the power button on the PS3 for about 10 seconds and it worked. However, the next day the same problem occurred, the PS3 was not recognized. I did the same process again, but unfortunately, it had no result. The PS3 is on but it is not recognized.

Configuration: Windows Vista / Firefox 3.6.13
