View intranet emails

Hello,

I am a beginner in computer science. I have an intranet email address: "****@justice.gouv.fr" and another regular one: "****@gmail.com".

I can only access ****@justice.gouv.fr from my workplace. Therefore, I would like to set up a way to have all emails sent to ****@justice.gouv.fr forwarded to ****@gmail.com.

I know that there is an option in Gmail to forward emails, but I don’t know if it works with this kind of email. I would like to know how to proceed if this forwarding is possible.

    I don't think it's possible with the Gmail trick.

    Moreover, I don't believe that the Ministry of Justice allows such an action.

    In my opinion, if you want your @justice emails to go to your Gmail account, you definitely need to ensure that the Ministry's mail software forwards all incoming emails to the Gmail address.

    What mail client do you use? Lotus Notes, Outlook, Thunderbird?

      When I was there, they were using Outlook, I doubt that's changed, it's too small an organization for Lotus, and I don't see the government switching to Thunderbird.

      I remind you that for these kinds of things, you have an internal IT service (I know, I was part of it), which will be much more effective...
      However, obviously the risk is that they refuse, for security reasons.

      If you NEED to access your emails from anywhere, contact them, and they will open a web access for you that will allow you to access your emails from the internet.
      But if they refuse, then what you're asking is like asking us to help you hack the Ministry of Justice, and personally, I'm not keen on that.

      For your information, at the Ministry of Budget, we've switched to Thunderbird.

    How do you access your work emails? Do you use software?
