After reading a similar case on this site, I realized that I was going to be scammed!!! My turn like "an idiot"!!

Here I received a rather astonishing message on "Skyrock.blog"
I didn't believe it at first but with fatigue, I let myself believe what this Sick Man with throat cancer was telling me. Here are the emails I received from him and his so-called notary:

Hello

I apologize for contacting you this way, I just came across your profile and thought you were the person I needed.

In short, my name is HUBERT GASCHET, of French origin and I live in Canada. I suffer from a serious illness that condemns me to certain death; it's throat cancer, and I have a sum of 300,000 euros that I would like to donate to a trustworthy and honest person to make good use of it. I own a cacao import business in Côte d'Ivoire, and I lost my wife three years ago, which affected me greatly, and I have not been able to remarry to this day; we had no children.

I would like to make this amount a donation before my death, since my days are numbered due to this illness for which I have no remedy. I would like to know if you can benefit from this donation.
Here is my MSN address:

hubert_gaschet@hotmail.ca

I ask you to reply to me.

I remain hopeful to hear from you again.

- After talking to him for a few hours, he gives me his notary's address so I can get in touch to receive this sum!

Thank you for your response to my request; I guarantee the sincerity of this matter. I even spoke with my lawyer who will take care of the rest of this matter; he will also help transfer my funds to you. I ask you to contact him by phone or send him an email so that you can start the procedures together to be in possession of this amount as soon as possible; he will provide you with all the information regarding this matter. I hope I can count on you for the successful execution of this matter that is truly close to my heart.
Here are his contact details, and I ask you to send him an email or call him as soon as you receive this message as quickly as possible.

Then finally here is the message from his notary:

Hello Mr. SÉBASTIEN

Indeed, I confirm that I have been the notary of Mr. HUBERT GASCHET for almost 2 years; this Canadian resident, also of French origin, is the CEO of a company specializing in the export of cocoa in Côte d'Ivoire. A few months ago, he was diagnosed with throat cancer, according to what the doctor has confirmed; a mass is currently present in his chest. Due to negligence concerning this illness, we have recently learned that his condition has worsened and has even become incurable; he has consulted specialists for this illness, but unfortunately, he could only receive treatment to slow the progression of the disease and no complete treatment for his recovery.
This is why he informed me, with much hesitation, that he would like to make a donation of the sum he possesses (300,000 Euros) to a trustworthy and honest person who can make good use of it, given that his days are now numbered. He called upon me to manage this large sum, but I clearly informed him that my profession does not allow me to handle this matter, as I am a general notary and not often available for professional reasons, I fear that I would not be able to fulfill the task which would be the last wish of Mr. GASCHET, who also lost his wife 3 years ago.
Mr. GASCHET is, to me, after the years we have spent together on a professional level, someone to whom I owe a lot of respect as he is a very good, very kind, and especially honest person.
He spoke to me about you and informed me that you should contact me so that I can handle the legal supervision of this matter.
As the donor wishes, I hope you are a very honest and trustworthy person who will, of course, be capable of handling this matter well.
We have also learned recently that the Ivorian government intends to seize these funds after the death of the donor as he has no heirs, and no one will be able to claim these funds after his death for reasons unknown to us.
You must understand that this matter is very serious and important, so it must be regularized in the utmost discretion. If you wish, I will inform you of the steps to follow so that you can possess this substantial sum upon receipt of an acknowledgment of your message.
You just need to send me information about yourself so that I can initiate the request for a deed of donation to the Ministry of Justice.

Well, I'm about to laugh, it's that they won't let it go, these guys!
I've still received 2 emails from this so-called Notary!!

The funniest thing is that he writes just as well as I do :D

They deserve a good lesson, like the scammer scammed
I don't understand how men fall for such scams without being punished

Anyway, here are the emails I've received, I assume they're sending the same email to a lot of people...

    On 01/22/2011:
    Hello Mr ********

I am reaching out to you.

As planned, I went to the court and was able to establish your donation deed, so I am sending you the deed as an attached file.
Please print this document, sign it, and send me a copy. You should also keep a copy. Also, make sure to keep this document in a very secure place so that no one can access it because this document certifies that, upon its receipt by the Ministry of Justice, under the law, you are the sole beneficiary of these funds.

From the moment you affix your signature on this document, the law considers that the donor is no longer able to claim these funds, of which you are the ultimate beneficiary.

However, we will first proceed with the shipment of all documents related to the credibility of this lethargy; I will send you the documents that also certify that all these funds are legal, which you can present to the authorities of your country, but before that, I am waiting for your signature on this document in order to initiate the appropriate legal procedures.

While wishing you a good receipt of this email, please contact me directly by phone so we can discuss it.
    Best regards,

    On 01/24/2011:

    Hello

I am reaching out to you this evening to hear from you because it has been quite a while since I last heard from you; yet I have to proceed with the matter at the level of the justice system, and you made me take commitments with the company that will be in charge of sending you these funds.

Please let me know as soon as possible because I must finalize this matter with the relevant party.

Thank you for your understanding; I hope to hear back from you as soon as possible

There you go, happy reading, and I hope my post will help ensure that no one gets taken in by these crooks!

P.S.: There was an attachment in the email from the 22nd, but I didn't want to open it (the last thing I need is to get a virus on top of everything).

Good evening, I want to comment on your message and well, I haven't gone that far. He managed to get my MSN address, how? I don't know, a mystery. Anyway, he gave me the same spiel about throat cancer, blah blah blah, widower without family, residing in Africa, looking for a trustworthy person for a significant donation because he sold his cocoa and coffee import-export factories, you know, the huge thing. What makes me smile is that I don't have the same phone number as you; he gave me 00225 67 10 04 92. Anyway, this story is unbelievable!!!
So, feel free to reply if you feel like it, thanks.

    Hello,

Obviously, they are very well structured, with several accounts (blog, MSN, and others) that function as recruiters, probably locals in Ivory Coast, or simply the personal addresses of certain members of their group, which would explain the different phone numbers....
I wouldn't even be surprised if they have accomplices here in France....

I wonder how many people they manage to "get" but given the organization, it must be profitable; I think they must exert pressure on
"their victims" once the document is signed.

    See you soon. Thank you.

Unfortunately, they are everywhere for photos as well as for bulk purchases; they are starting to monopolize the internet.
