[printer] status: paused

The solution to this very frustrating problem is as follows: due to a minor printing issue, your computer automatically paused the printing that was in progress. You need to go to the taskbar at the bottom right of your computer. You should see a small printer icon. Click on it. In the upper left corner of the box that will appear, click on Printer, and next to Pause Printing, there is a checkmark. Click on it to remove it. Exit and try your printing again. Before downloading anything, try this; it worked for me and several of my friends.

A solution to an identical problem without touching the spooler is to disable the automatic disabling of the device.

Possessor of an Epson Stylus Color 1520 ESC/P printer, at startup it performs an auto-test "print head" and then stops, remaining in a pause state, the "PAUSE" button flashes yellow, and the cover open light flashes red. Immediate solution, thank you in advance.

I only have one printer connected via USB.
I no longer had the 'Status' indication: ready.
I disabled the spooler for my printer.
Everything is fine.

Thank you to those who responded to the printer issue, I tried it and resolved the problem in 2 clicks by going to "Control Panel," then "Printer," then right-clicking and "Resume Printing."

1- Go to the ''Start'' menu
2- Click on ''Devices and Printers''
3- Double-click on ''your printer icon''
4- Go to the first tab ''Printer''
5- Uncheck ''pause printing''
