Insert an image into a character

Good evening,

I would like to know how to insert a photo into a character; for example, I have the letter A and I would like to place a photo within the contours of the letter.

I would be grateful if you could explain to me which software I can use for this and how to do it.

Thank you in advance.

    Easy
with Word you go to Insert > Picture > Word Art > in the gallery you select the first one (transparent Word Art) > you write your letter (make sure to choose the right calligraphy, Arial Black is good) > right click > format Word Art object > in fill, color you choose patterns and textures > image tab and you select an image. And that's it.

    Hi,

vicious circle: the method depends a lot on the software used!
You need to merge the content with the form of the text. All good logs can do that. In Photoshop, for example, this technique is called clipping mask.
More simply, the text mask, which is also easy to do with Photofiltre (free):
-> text tool + check transform to selection
just copy the selection and paste it into a new document
