Is a French phone with a Belgian SIM card possible?

Hello,

I just bought a phone without a contract in France, but I would like to put a Belgian SIM card in it. Is that possible?

    Prepaid phone: did you receive a French SIM card with it (in this case, it's a prepaid package, so the phone is locked to a French network)

    - Or there is no operator registration (in this case, you can use your SIM card)

      No, I did not receive a card, it's a "basic".
