Hello,
S.O.S. Grandma in distress! I can no longer see my grandchildren...
I no longer have MSN and cannot uninstall it either. When I go to "add or remove programs," it bugs out... And when I click on "download MSN," the installation goes to 100% then regresses, and the final message says "we were unable to install Writer and parental controls," and the window tells me that Messenger, Photo Gallery, etc. are already installed on my computer, but nothing is there. Does anyone have any ideas?
Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.6.13

Hello,
1) Download and install this:
https://www.commentcamarche.net/telecharger/utilitaires/19405-revo-uninstaller/
Launch Revo and check if it detects any installation of Windows Live Messenger. If so, uninstall it:
Right-click on the MSN icon > "Uninstall" > "Yes" > choose the "Advanced" uninstallation mode > "Next" > wait and then follow the on-screen instructions > "Next" > wait again... > "Next" > "Select all" > "Delete" > "Yes" > "Next" > "Select all" > "Delete" > "Yes" > "Finish" > Restart your PC.
2) Download and install this:

Launch Windows Installer Clean Up Utility and select all the lines where it says "Windows Live" and then click on "Remove".
Restart your PC and then reinstall MSN.

Thank you very much. I tried the first method, nothing regarding MSN, and with the second one, I had to do some cleaning, and I tried to reinstall Messenger and it worked...
Happy grandma who will be able to say hello to her grandchildren.
