Problem with Mixtrack Pro and pre-listening

Hello,

Here is my issue: I just purchased a Numark Mixtrack Pro. It’s the same as the base Mixtrack except that a DJ I/O sound card is integrated into the console. Once connected to my PC and mapped in Traktor, I can use it, but I can’t get the pre-listen (cue) while also playing sound through the MacBook speakers. I’ve tried every configuration in Traktor’s audio setup, but nothing works...

Could someone please have a solution to my problem?

Thank you!

I had the same problem with the pre-listen and in fact I had installed the Mixtrack driver wrongly. Once it’s properly installed, go to the output settings routing: for the output monitor field select channels 3 and 4, and for output master select channels 1 and 2. Hope this helps.

Hello, can you tell me how you did it because on my laptop I can’t get the 4 channels even in quadraphony.

it's the same for me, only channels 1 and 2 appear, whereas in the installation manual they talk about channels 3 and 4 then 1 and 2... these are my first platters/platinums, so i'm having trouble with the configurations...

same problem, no pre-listen in the headset. i did all the indicated adjustments but the problem is that the pre-listen sound comes out of the speakers and not into the headset, so how should i do to get the sound to come out in the headset.
i note that i did the cue mix and cue gain adjustments as needed, the problem does not come from there i think more a sound card or connection issue so if you have ideas or have had the same problem thank you ...

Just a quick question by the way, excuse me: Can we use pre-monitoring (pre-listen) in headphones by plugging the speakers into the PC sound card? :) If yes, could you briefly explain how to do it?

I managed to set it up by connecting the turntable output to my hi-fi system. Before, it was not possible because if you connect your Mac directly to the hi-fi system via the output, only your Mac’s sound card will work. Whereas by routing through the turntable, both can work. So you configure the audio output in Traktor settings under your Mixtrack Pro (select Mixtrack Pro) and then you connect the turntable output to the hi-fi system, and your headphones to the turntable. And it should work!

Thanks for this response, but I have a doubt about one point:

Behind the srotie(?) is RCA on the mixtrack pro. and my Philips docking station is a jack connection (Walkman-type). What should I do to connect them properly?

Second point: to switch to pre-listen mode while a track is playing (load A), if I want to listen only to load B without it playing through the speakers, what manipulation do I need to perform? I don’t see the PFL button on my turntable, that’s why..

      Thanks in advance

Indeed. However I found a cable going from RCA to a jack socket. Available in some stores surely.
To listen only to A in your headphones and send to B to the speakers, you need to leave the cross on turntable A and activate the Cue on turntable B. You can then adjust the volume in your headphones as well as whether to play both tracks.

Hope I have answered your questions.

someone to help us. Even if I think that the output of the turntable should be plugged into an amplifier or hi-fi system

I also think so because there are two audio outputs at the back, but even if you haven't plugged the outputs into speakers, you should still be able to have pre-listen since you plug your headset into it.
or I have no sound coming out of my headset even when selecting the Mixtrack sound card in Traktor, so there must be either a problem or a setting to adjust.

      I also have a question,
in the Audio Setup of the Preferences menu in Traktor, there is Built In Soundcard. I think it’s to select your external or integrated sound card on the controller, like for example, but I don’t know what it’s actually for since it changes nothing when I choose different cards.

      Thanks for your reply.

Yes, I have outdoor speakers but with all the settings (except 3 and 4 which I can't get) the sound only comes out of my computer!

Hello Kevin, have you checked that you’re using the sound card from the table and not the one from your Mac!!!!!

Hello, one thing in the tracktor preferences menu go to "output routing" "mixing mode" select internal then output monitor (preview) make sure your output is assigned correctly, then check in the Windows control panel that you have set your sound card to quadriphonic. Normally using the wizard it should work.

Hello, I need a big favor please. I own the Numark Mixtrack Pro, but I lost the VirtualDJ LE installation CD, which is causing a major problem. I have a gig tomorrow and I need the CD to install the controller on a laptop.

    Thank you in advance, regards.

    Hello everyone!

I haven't found an answer to my question on the topic...

I have a Numark Mixtrack (not the Pro) with Traktor and a MacBook Pro.

But I have a problem: I have no pre-listening, all sounds come out at the same time either in the headphones or through the computer's speakers.

Does anyone have an idea about the configuration?

    Thanks ;-)

Normally you won’t have pre-listen because you don’t have an audio interface on your Mixtrack; you need an external sound card.

    Good evening Kevin,
in the settings of Traktor, you go to output routing, in output monitor it's your headset you set output 3 and 4, then in output master you set output 1 and 2, normally it should work.
    good luck

Hi! I have exactly the same problem with my Numark Pro Quad controller... After attending a mixing workshop they told me to set the cue mix all the way to the right, i.e. on PGM. I haven't had a chance to stay and try it yet because I just ordered my speakers! I hope that helps you; if not, try to watch again and watch YouTube videos—I think there are some about this. Hi :-)
