No sound in Call Of Duty Black OPS PC

Hello everyone, I have a problem. I have Call of Duty Black Ops on PC. I click on Campaign, and it starts playing. I did new game because I'm just starting it for the first time, but there's a little problem: there's the TV and the people who are electrocuting (sorry for the mistake) but I can't hear anything! After that, there's the cutscene, and I can hear the sound! I have sound in the cutscene! But after the cutscene, still nothing!
Actually, I have no sound in the game except for the cutscenes.

    I've found it.

    I have DirectX 11 but it wasn't the latest version.
    Run an update to ensure you have the latest components: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en-us/confirmation.aspx?FamilyID=2da43d38-db71-4c1b-bc6a-9b6652cd92a3&displayLang=en

    Just so you know, you need to install DirectX9 and everything should work, that's what I did and it works.

      Hi ozandu95, I have exactly the same issue as you, no sound during gameplay but sound during the cutscenes.
      I have DirectX11 on Windows 7, Nvidia GeForce GT 220 graphics card. I don't know how to get sound during the game.
      I have PES 2011 and it works perfectly.

      I also fixed it by updating my sound drivers Guernette, there are websites to update them, but I forgot which ones, ask someone ;)

      All my drivers are up to date, I read that other people were playing it with DirectX 11. I'm going to try reinstalling Windows because DirectX 11 is included in it.

      Go to the folder where the game is installed, then to Call of Duty Black Ops / redist / directx and launch DXSETUP, and your problem will be solved.

    To get the game to work, I had to download D3DX9_43.dll

    but I have the same issue: no sound during gameplay sequences but like you, sound in some of the cutscenes.

    I am on Vista with DX 11

    I will try to find an update for my sound card driver but I doubt that will solve the problem.

      I installed the very latest drivers for my graphics card (an 8800 GT) and my Realtek sound card. I already have DirectX 11.
      It doesn't change anything, same symptoms: no sound during the game.

    Hello everyone! I also have this problem but it's not the most concerning: Yesterday I managed to play really well. But today when I put the CD in the drive and click on Computer and then on Call of Duty Black Ops PC, a window opens that says: SETUP EXE - entry point not found

    The procedure entry point GetSysColorBrush could not be located in the dynamic link library USER32.dll.

    And there you have it, I have an Acer Aspire AX3812, Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit, and a NVIDIA GeForce GT220 1024MB. Thank you.
    PS: I have Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 and Flight Simulator X and they don't work either.
