Hello,
I have a pretty stupid question.
Does anyone know how to unsubscribe from fileserve.com?
I have a subscription that automatically renews every month via automatic payment, but I've been looking everywhere and cannot find the link to close my account. Plus, I'm really not good at English.
Could someone using this site help me?
Thank you very much in advance
Pierre

Hello,
I confirm what Gart78 says, I admit that it is not convenient for unsubscribing. I wanted to suspend my credit card payments, you go to "Contact Us" at the bottom right of the page, and then in the form, under
Contact Reason, choose: credit card cancellation. They replied to me within 48 hours, telling me that my account remained open and the premium subscription would end at the end of the current month. Without this action, your card is charged every month.

Hello everyone,
I had the same problem... and not being good at English, I first paid for a month...
When the charges followed, I thought I had signed up for 6 months... well... I kept downloading... until the site no longer recognized me while the charges continued...
I changed my credit card... but PayPal directly forwards the payments to the new card, I wanted to close my PayPal account, but it's impossible if there are ongoing recurring payments...
I then came across the forum present and followed some wise advice:
- go to your PayPal account, tab "my account"
- choose "preferences"
- go to "my pre-approved payments" by clicking on "update"
- click on fileserve
- there, below "details of recurring payments" (written in brown), click on "cancel"
then you will switch to a new page where PayPal will provide you with several details such as:
"<i>These preferences have been canceled and cannot be reactivated. No further recurring payment will be made.</i>"
There you go, and I won't be tricked into signing up for something without translating the page.... by the way, they do it on purpose to make it so convoluted... scammers!

Hello,
For those who, like me, subscribed to fileserv via automatic bank withdrawal, you just need to write an email asking for the cancellation of the withdrawal and the premium account (in English) to the following address:
customercare@fileserve.com
Personally, I received a response within 72 hours confirming that there would be no more future withdrawals!

Any questions?? Google is your friend!

A Russian site (English-speaking) looks like Fileserve and pays in the same way $25/1000 downloads
It risks nothing since it’s a Russian site, the Americans can hardly do anything
Here is the link, thank you for signing up! =)

Hello,
I have a similar problem with Filepost:
I took a premium account for 1 month at €9.95 at the end of February (by card, not by PayPal), and I just noticed (I know… I’ve taken my time) that I was being charged every month.
But where it gets complicated is that I no longer have a premium account since the end of the first month I subscribed (March)… so I’m being charged without even having a premium account!
I just wrote an email… what can I do besides blocking my card?
Thank you
zivz

ENORMOUS SCAM:
THE SITE NO LONGER RECOGNIZES ME (Neither my ID nor my email), and I AM STILL being charged €10/month (this was not clearly stated, and the others do not work (or rather did not work) this way.
I regrettably paid by credit card: The only solution is to block the card and sit tight on what has already been paid, hoping not to have any issues afterwards... because indeed it is clearly stated that it is a contract that renews every month......................

You just have to ask your bank to block the upcoming direct debits! They won't be able to charge you anymore.
They tell me it's more complicated than that... legal service, appeal, but I don't even have an address to provide... plus, with a +/- legal DL, I don't feel comfortable about it!!
I finally blocked my credit card, the only technical solution according to my bank.
Thank you for your responses.

Thank you to ckalimo for his valuable post.
I followed his procedure and it works.
Fileserve responds to you a few days later.
Here is the message received because there are two possible paths for cancellation following your payment method: (I leave the text in English because with online translators it's "broken English".
To assist you in cancelling the active profile to your account and to avoid being charged again every month, please see details below:
If you have paid via Credit Card, please provide the email you input upon purchase together with the Cardholder's name and we will cancel it immediately.
However, if you have paid via Paypal we are unable to assist you any further. Here are the steps for cancelling the recurring payment from your Paypal account:
01) Go to http://paypal.com and log in to your account.
02) Select the More Options link under Profile in the Overview sub-menu (My Account > Overview > More Options).
03) Click the My Money button in the left navigation column.
04) Click on the Update link in the My Preapproved Payments section.
05) You should now see all the companies who have approval to bill your PayPal account. Chances are you'll see some PayPal merchants in this list that you don't remember. Click on any merchant that you want to delete.
06) Depending on the type of payment relationship you have with the merchant, you might see a number of different variations of a cancel screen. Just click Cancel wherever you see the option to do so.
07) After successfully cancelling a recurring or subscription payment, you should get a confirmation screen where it states "This subscription has been cancelled."
We hope this response has sufficiently answered your questions. If not, please do not send another email. Instead, reply to this email directly.

Thank you very much for this information imacbuzz!
However, could you please specify from which email address you received this message?
Because I have a charge every month on my credit card (I don't pay with Paypal), and when I request to cancel my subscription via the form on the fileserve site, I only receive an automatic response and the charges on my credit card continue! My request is completely ignored!
That's why I need this email address that I'm desperately searching for. In the message you received, it says "please provide the email you have input upon purchase together with the Cardholder's name and we will cancel it immediately," but to which email address should I send it?
Thanks in advance.

If the payment was made with Paypal, it must be canceled in Paypal. Log in to your account / My account / Preferences / My pre-approved payments.
Click on the FileServe Ltd line and then cancel the profile. Paypal states that there will be no new withdrawals.
See you!
