Hello, I am reaching out for help because it has been almost a year since I purchased the Acer Aspire Ax1301
and from the beginning, the power button hasn't been working properly; I had to press it multiple times and for a long time (5-10 minutes!) And now, I have been trying for 20 minutes without any response. So, I've taken my mother's computer to ask you the following questions:
> Would it be possible to repair this?
> Has this happened to anyone before?
> Are there external power buttons that we can connect to our computer?
Thank you in advance!
PS: I don’t know if I posted my question in the right category: Hardware/Hardware =S
Configuration: Windows 7 / Safari 534.7

I have the same problem; it's the switch on the front. I cut the wires of this switch (blue and white), extended these two wires to the outside by making a hole in the side of the facade, and installed a toggle switch. In summary, I bypassed the contact.

For your information, it’s a known issue with ACER for this box, so it's covered. In any case, they changed mine and I haven't had any problems since.

Good evening, Once I have cut the blue and white wires, and pulled them out of the box, what should I do? What is a toggle switch?
Do you also have an Acer Aspire AX 1301?
Because my PC is very small compared to others, and all the components inside are very cramped, could you please tell me exactly what to do to avoid making a mistake? Thank you in advance!
Best regards. -
Personally, I disassembled the facade, cut the two wires (blue and white) connected to the switch. These wires were extended to come out through a hole I drilled on the side of the facade, and I installed a switch on these two wires to make contact. You can call 0963071277 for more details.

Otherwise, I just bought an external switch! Sharkoon PC start, it needs to be connected directly to the motherboard! If it doesn't work, well, I'll use the maricane technique! But what is the switch you connected to the blue and white wire?

I also have the same problem that is getting worse over time.
I'm not good at electronics at all, is there a simpler solution?
Can't we replace a component (switch or button)?
