How to replace an LCD panel connector

Hello,

unfortunately, I broke the screen of my HP DV5 laptop.
Fortunately, I have an "old" Toshiba laptop whose screen is the same size as the broken one. To avoid the cost of buying a new one (I can't afford it), I would like to swap them. Once both laptops are disassembled, I realize that the connectors of the screens are different, one being connected to the graphics card (HP) and the other to the motherboard (Toshiba).

Would it be possible to just change the cables? Or just the connector ends?
Thank you

Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 3.6.12

Hi,

To change the panel, you don't need to touch the motherboard connectors.

You need to disconnect the plug connecting the display board to the panel at the back and the top of the panel, and at the bottom, disconnect the inverter.
