Hello, I recently bought an Acer K11 projector. I am very happy with the image, however, the built-in speaker is a bit weak. Having seen a female Jack input on the VP, I bought PC speakers with a Jack output. However, no sound comes out except from the built-in speaker.
The problem does not exist when I connect the VP to the computer, but when I connect it to the PS3 because there is no audio output.
If anyone has a solution or an explanation, I am open to suggestions.
Best regards
Aurélien
Configuration: Mac OS X / Firefox 3.6.10

Hello to you,
It seems to me that it is only an audio input (and not output!). Therefore, the sound must be retrieved directly from the connected device (DVD player, Blu-ray, console, etc.)
With this type of connection, for example, HDMI to VGA + audio http://www.modreactor.com/gallery/displayimage.php?album=177&pos=15
;).
I myself have another issue with this wonderful projector; I played around with the setup (system menu) and inadvertently lost data without having saved it beforehand!! If one of the owners could kindly provide me with the following default values, thank you in advance!!!:
To enter the admin/advanced menu
Turn it off, then press "On," then "Left Arrow," then once again "Left Arrow," then "Menu"
The information I'm looking for can be found in the "Analog settings" submenu:

I have the same problem; it seems impossible to connect speakers to the K11... I'm returning it to the seller! SHAMEFUL!

I have the same problem. The projector's speaker is too weak. How can I do that?
Thank you for helping us. -
Hello, I have exactly the same issue with the speakers. I know the forum is old, but I would like to know if you have found any solutions.
I looked at your TTF idea but I can't find a suitable HDMI to VGA + audio cable... -
It depends on what kind of speakers you connect.
Powered speakers?
I use my PC to watch movies, I output the sound from the PC and connect via VGA for the image.
For a DVD player that doesn't have a VGA or HDMI output, only RCA outputs, I ordered a VGA/RCA female cable on eBay.
Hope this helps... -
Hello everyone,
I have "solved" the problem, indeed the projector does not have a jack output.
So you have to go through the image transmitter to connect speakers, for example.
In my case, on the SFR TNT decoder that has a jack output, on the computer and for the XBOX 360 I bought a cable that converts to HDMI + VGA. (for a maximum of 30€)
I hope I was able to help you :)-

Hello, have you had any issues with your SFR decoder? For my part, I have a TNT Sat decoder, and when I turn it on with the Acer K11 projector, the image only displays for 2 seconds before it restarts.
I tried to reduce the original resolution from 1920/1080 to 800/600, but the problem remains the same.
The only solution at the moment is to unplug the decoder, and on the first turn-on, everything works in 1920/1080 apparently!
PS: the PC and the Xbox do not have this issue.
If you have an explanation, I’m all ears!
