Hello,
Despite my research, I cannot find any topics regarding my specific problem.
I am using Word 2007, and I am unable to type the acute accent. Every time I press the "é" key, a 2 appears instead.
I should note that this problem is specific to the software, as you can see, I can type "é" outside of it.
Best regards,
Thank you in advance.

Hi,
You must have accidentally saved this change; it happens frequently.
Click on the Microsoft Office button in Word/Word Options at the bottom of the window/Proofing/and at the top right/click on AutoCorrect Options
in the dropdown list, scroll down until you find é in the left column and 2 in the right column
click on the line and Delete

Good evening,
Does the problem occur for all the number keys (not those on the numpad) or just for the é?
=> Can you type a è, ç, or à?
Have you set the writing language to French?
Could we consider the joke of a colleague who is playing with the autocorrect options?
See you later
