Hello,

While checking my bank statement, I noticed that Norton annual R charged me 60 euros... How is this possible? I haven't had Norton for years! What should I do to recover the 60 euros, and what can I do to prevent this from happening again?

If you haven't given authorization for the withdrawal, go see your banker and ask them to refund you.

    if you haven't had Norton for years, the credit card service or your bank let the payment go through even though your credit card is expired, validity date two years with the pictograms on the back.
    To stop the direct debit, my bank destroyed my credit card and issued me a new one with a new number and code.
    I filed a complaint against Norton and my bank fully refunded me.

Me too, they charged me abusively 29.90. I couldn't unsubscribe because I would have had to reinstall to access the cancellation procedure!
However, since I've had Avast, I haven't had any issues, so I haven't touched anything that resembles Norton or Symantec ==> no cancellation ==> 29.90 lost!
I'm beside myself!

To stop the payment, the bank destroyed my credit card and issued me a new one with a different number and code.
I filed a complaint against Norton and my bank refunded me everything.

Before going to file an opposition, your bank will ask you to go report it, wasting an hour of your time for your money to be recovered, don't waste your time going to the bank first! This applies regardless of the product, as soon as a charge is abusive and without consent, police first then bank!

It has been 2 years since NORTON has been charging me €60 while I have had Avast for 3 years.
The bank advised me to write a complaint letter for abusive charging. The bank will conduct the investigation and will reimburse me, but I seriously doubt they will find the NORTON site since I couldn’t find it myself. Then I will have to change my credit card.

Through the chat, they offered me a 50% discount, but I insisted, and as a result, they are refunding the full amount to my account.

  Well, I've got it in the baba since I have no memory of receiving an email from them asking for renewal, so for them it's a done deal, they're making the withdrawal. Norton having my credit card number since I subscribed a year ago; so always check the spam folder!!!!!!

  The bank can only block any potential withdrawal. I can’t call Norton since it’s just a voicemail, etc.... and the emails are a mess. All I can do is sit on it. I was indeed unsubscribed from Norton because I’ve been using Bitdefender for a year.

Hello,

I subscribed to Norton in 2019. I was forced to provide my credit card numbers and hope they wouldn't misuse them.
I had to agree to automatic renewal of my subscription.

I changed my credit card, which led to harassment for me to give them my new numbers. Even the Caisse d'Epargne was on their side!

Now, every time I turn on my computer, I get ads and reminders from Norton, coupled with targeted ads that are in poor taste: blackmail - if you don't renew your subscription, we'll send you viruses...

I activated Windows Defender, Avast, went to the Microsoft website, spent hours waiting for their updates to take effect, but nothing works, Norton continues.

As a result: I'm hesitant to get a paid antivirus, especially since Norton has never responded to my requests to protect my second computer as promised in their ads!

I'm considering filing a complaint - but with whom? Is Norton a Swedish or British company?

As for me, I'm more fortunate...
Without doing anything, Norton automatically renews my subscription via a payment made with my credit card from back in the day... expired in 2008! I don't even understand how they don't realize that I've been renewed for 12 years, without any payment going through...

Hello, I'm posting on the forum to warn about Norton and their charges. On December 30, 2022, I had an automatic charge of €99 from Norton without any agreement.

Since then, I made a refund request on January 20, as I couldn't find any other means. Since January 20, I've been waiting for them to refund me the €99, and now we're almost in May. They said there would be a delay of 2 to 6 weeks. But that has not been respected.
When you contact Norton Support, they tell you that they can do nothing except put a note on the file to supposedly make it go faster.

I call them every week to get my money back, but nothing works!

Don't do like me, go directly to the bank to have them block the charge; it's simpler, faster, and more effective.

I would like to know later if there are people in the same situation as me and if they have received their refund or not.
