Erreur d'installation d' Oracle 9.2 sur suse

J'essai d'installer Oracle 9.2 sur Linux. Apres toutes les configurations et je lance runInstaller j'obtient la faute suivante:
The Java Runtime Environment was not found at /tmp/OraInstall2005-11-16_04-25-57PM/jre/bin/java ...
Hence, the Oracle Universal Installer cannot be run. Please visit http://www.javasoft.com and install JRE version 1.3.1 or higher and try again
J'ai téléchargé le jre.1.3-16.bin que j'ai executé mais j'obtient la même.
Que faire? Aidez-moi
