Hello everyone,
before even writing to you, I searched a bit on the net and browsed some forums, but in vain.
Well, it's not a very serious problem, but I'm really wondering what the solution is.
OS: Windows 7 64-bit.
RocketDock was working very well. It launched at startup without any issues.
I had fun modifying the icons to work on its interface. Everything continued to work very well. I installed Stack Docklet. It worked perfectly. Then two days later, I received the first error message about difficulty loading the icons. When prompted to load the default icons, I clicked "No," and everything started normally. It did this three times in a row over a few days.
Now, it refuses to launch at startup. Strange...
I go into the task manager, etc.... And I see that it is open! Yet it’s not present on my Desktop. I end the process. Start it again, and it launches, asking me the same question about the icons. No problem. It opens..
I turn it off to test and it still refuses to launch at startup.
Any idea to understand this? And to resolve it...

Hello,
As for me, the problem was quickly resolved. In the stackdocklet folder, you have a "Settings" file; open it and you will surely see that those who have a Windows session name with one or more accents have an issue.
Copy this file to the desktop, modify it so that the various paths are correct in terms of characters. Delete the one in the StackDocklet folder, then copy the one you modified.
And there you go, no more problems at startup :)

Hello;
Are you sure there isn’t a conflict between RocketDocket and TackDocklet (which I don't know)? Try uninstalling the latter to see if everything works fine, or try performing a system restore in safe mode with a date set between the installation of RocketDock and TackDocklet.
Best regards.

Hello!
And thank you for taking an interest in this issue.
A system restore... um no, that seems unnecessary for a problem that isn't major.
That said, it is true that in the chronology of events, it may be the one causing the problem.
Knowing that it's just a Docklet (added) in Rocket Dock, I have the impression that it's just a matter of settings in the "Security - User" tab of the folder (see installation) but I could be wrong.
I did follow the installation procedures correctly.

Here, the link is as follows:

But as you can read, it's just an add-on. I believe it's a matter of settings. But I'm still surprised.
I have obviously configured RocketDock correctly to launch at startup. I even put the shortcut in the startup tab (after checking, it finally appears when typing msconfig in run..).
Thanks anyway!

You will therefore uninstall RocketDocket to reinstall it without this addon; I think it's the best solution and reconfigure everything.
P.S.: If you're a fan of docks, I know a very good one (Winstep Nexus), a bit like RocketDock but, in my opinion, superior and that allows you to have a similar visual to the addon you installed. If interested, let me know.
P.S.: This one is compatible with RocketDocket; you can put one at the top and the other at the bottom.

I have the same problem, sometimes several times a day and other times less! And since it annoys me to open the task manager, stop the process, and restart RocketDock, I installed a macro logger that does everything automatically with one click :)
Otherwise, I don't understand why it's doing that, it didn't happen before :(

In the end, I have the latest version and it’s this one that bugs with Win7.
The solution is to replace stack docklet with Standalonestack 2, which is on the RocketDock website:
