Branching a 380V Kärcher to 220V

    Not possible because 380V means three-phase, while 220V is single-phase.

    You can do a coupling of 380 or 220v, that's what the label on the device means.
    But it's three-phase in both cases.
    It's impossible to convert it to 220 single-phase without significant adaptation using capacitors, and even then, not all three-phase motors accept it.

      The 220/380 signage is a standard, there is no different interpretation.
      It explicitly refers to three-phase.

      It's dead in practice.
      In theory, it's possible, but a 380 pressure washer must be powerful enough.
      The transformation from three-phase to single-phase is only possible at low power.

      In this case, there should be a possibility to move the "knights" at the motor or electrical box of the pressure washer to switch to 220V, see the paper manual or online.

      He's not very young, so there's no manual, and I haven't found anything on the internet, and I opened the case but after 15 minutes I gave up because there are wires everywhere.

      The beast is a KARCHER HD 1000 i.

      You must not have put on your good glasses because on the Karcher website there is a range of 12 HD 1000 models with the manuals.
