An SDL covers all phases of a project (from design to validation, including project management), while an IDE only covers the implementation phase.
Nowadays, the label 'SDL' is incorrectly applied to any IDE...

In conducting research on WinDev AGL, I faced the same question.
By definition, an AGL is a software that covers all phases of the software life cycle, including design, implementation, compilation, testing, and integration ...
An IDE is an integrated development environment; however, it does not support design, which in most cases is done using specific software such as PowerDesigner or ArgoUML.

I also find that IDEs are wrongly referred to as AGLs. For example, on the Wikipedia site, among the list of AGLs we find:
Eclipse, the open source development environment
ArgoUML, software for UML design
EnterpriseArchitect, AMCDesigner, which are tools for modeling
IntelliJIDEA, a commercial development tool
and many others, while many of them do not cover all parts of the life cycle, so they cannot be classified as AGLs.
However, it is useful on a resume to gather development tools under one heading. One might then say:
AGL: Eclipse, WinDev, PowerDesigner, ArgoUML, IntelliJIDEA, Netbeans ...
The entire suite of these software covers well the software life cycle of AGL.
