I have a VGA output on my laptop and I want to connect it to my television.

Will this cable transmit audio to my TV through the VGA port of my PC?

these are 2 different things
with VGA you connect the TV instead of the screen, for sound a minijack cable from the audio output of the PC to the audio input of the TV

vga = Video Graphics Array
The sound will come from your PC :s

vga = connector for monitor (blue multi-pin)
rca (composite) = yellow: video white and red: audio
