Hello,
I have a very big problem! I have some Excel files on a USB stick and only on that. I lost my USB stick... In Excel 2007, when you click on the Office button and then go to Open, you can see the list of recently opened documents. Is it possible to access these files even without my USB stick? (temporary files, etc.) I hope I was clear in describing my problem. Thank you in advance!
Configuration: Windows 7 / Firefox 3.6.6

Hello,
no, the files are shortcuts on the USB drive.
For temporary files, just search with the exact name of the file and see if it exists elsewhere.

When I search with the exact name, I get a shortcut located in this folder:
C:\Users\User1\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Office\Recent
But all the files in this folder are only shortcuts. And when I try to open my file, it says:
Shortcut problem
The drive or network connection referenced by the shortcut 'Suivi.xls.LNK' is not available. Please check that the disk is properly inserted or that the network resource is available, and then try again.
I feel like I'm in trouble! -
Indeed, it seems to me that it is not possible to recover those files without the USB key.
