Question

Hello,  my problem is that I can't access web pages even though I'm connected. I don't understand why. Is it related to a problem with Internet Explorer?  Thank you for your help!

I know someone who has a problem with their computer, and to help them, I prefer to ask professionals ;) .  In fact, when they launch Internet Explorer (with the internet connection activated), the homepage: Google displays. If I do a search, the screen shows the different found sites, but when I click on one of the links to enter a site, it immediately displays the basic page to report a connection problem (asking to refresh, etc.).  Can you help me fix this problem?

I have a similar problem!!! Ever since I installed the new version of Explorer, the only site it goes to is my homepage (yahoo.fr). And when I enter a web address I want to visit, everything stays blank and a message appears ("the required search key was not found in any active activation context"). However, the only way to go to another site is to type a word in Yahoo's search box (for example, if I type "hotmail", it shows me what it found, and from there I click on it and go to hotmail). Otherwise, there’s no other way to go to a site!! It’s frustrating!!!!!!!!!!!! Help me! Lydie

Tu dois désinstaller IE7 puis faire une mise à jour avec Windows Update et tout fonctionnera.

On the first one, we can connect to the internet BUT it's impossible to access any webpage (it says "could not find the page"). However, on the second account, everything works fine. Hello Souad For a similar issue, I was advised to reinstall IE7 but it didn't help at all I started everything from scratch by formatting the hard drive. But that's really the last resort! Good luck,

Hello,   I indeed have the same problem. For some links and all the addresses typed in the bar, I get the error message: "The required search key was not found in any active activation context." Additionally, I no longer have access to Internet options through the "Tools" tab; I get the following message: "This operation has been aborted due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator," and this option no longer appears in my configuration panel... and all of this started happening since I installed IE 7. Could it be because I have a cracked version of Windows? If that's the case, how can I "repair" my computer without formatting it? (I’d like to avoid that since I’ve been living in Italy for a few months and I left the installation CD of my antivirus, which I paid for, back in France... Solution found: I installed IE 8 and I no longer have that message But I only use it for MICROSOFT updates. For browsing, I use Firefox, which has a lot fewer problems, with lots of addons and extensions, but it consumes a lot of RAM; otherwise, I'm trying GOOGLE CHROME, which is much lighter and a bit faster than FIREFOX.... we'll see over time...

I had the problem when switching from a Free modem to a Livebox, as I had to unplug and replug the connection every time. I resolved the issue by displaying it in network connection / properties / Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) with primary DNS 80.10.246.2 and secondary DNS 80.10.246.129 (problem solved).

I just reinstalled the WIFI card on my old laptop and everything is working perfectly. The Orange installer program had made me suspicious by saying that a WIFI patch was missing. Probably a corrupted or deleted file... Hoping this can help others.

Good evening, similarly I no longer have access to a large part of the websites, but I can easily access Facebook or others. This using any browser or device (when I try with my Galaxy Note connected to Wi-Fi, it’s the same thing). Moreover, when I try to start an online match in FIFA 12 on Xbox 360, it finds an opponent, but then immediately tells me that the connection with the opponent has been lost.
