Help, my Acer Aspire 8930G won't start!

Hello,

I’ll explain my problem. I have in my possession an ACER Aspire 8930G laptop that I use for both personal and professional purposes.

My problem is that my laptop does not start properly. When I press the power button, the PC turns on, it boots, I see the Windows Vista loading bar scrolling, then a black screen appears with the mouse pointer and nothing else. I can wait for hours in this state with nothing displaying (it does go into sleep mode after a while). The issue is that I have all my personal data on it, as well as my professional data, and I'm afraid of losing everything.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thank you in advance for your responses.

Best regards,

Jéjé38

    Hello
At startup, tap the F8 key, and go into safe mode or last known good configuration, or another mode.

I did this manipulation and it gives the same result. In safe mode, it reboots after the scrolling of Vista, and in normal mode, it does the same! It happened all of a sudden!!

Help!!!!!! Do you have any other ideas?

    Thanks for your help!

No, I don't have any beeps. If you prefer, at first glance when it starts up, everything seems normal, the Windows Vista loading bar, like a normal use, but then, instead of arriving at the welcome screen, I get a black screen and nothing else!!

Data, if you can recover the hard drive, it's relatively easy as long as it's not damaged.

I would advise you to look into another brand in the future, I'm hearing more and more about hardware issues with Acer...

Ok, thank you very much for your answers! I'll try to fix it and if I can't recover the data, I will use the warranty at the store where I bought it!! Thank you again.

    # No beep, there are several causes.

    * Motherboard/CPU > bad contact.

    * RAM not detected (possibly damaged)

    * Graphics card (or graphics chipset) damaged or driver missing.
