How to create a mask in Word?

Solved

Hello,

I want to create a mask for a Word document but I haven't succeeded. Here's how I proceeded and the problems I'm encountering:

I created a .png image in Illustrator, then I tried to integrate it into Word to make it my background image. This image is a triangle that has 2 sides following the left and top edges of the page.

However, I have 2 problems that I can't solve:

- 1 the image is not the desired size,
- 2 when printing, there is always a white border between the edge of the page and the image, whereas I don't see it on the screen.

So I have 2 questions:
- Is there a simple way to create a mask like in PowerPoint?
- How can I remove the white border when printing?

Thank you,

Benf

Configuration: Windows Vista / Firefox 3.6.6

You don't create a "mask" in Word.

However, you can insert a background that will be visible on all pages.

Go to the Layout menu, Background => Watermark.
Note that you don't have to have an image in the watermark (just disable the Faded option).
If you want to position this image in a specific place, you need to display the header, and that's where the image is located, which you can then move with the mouse or with precise measurements.

For printing, yes, you should contact a printer. In principle, they have printers that allow printing to the edge, unlike what is offered to the general public.
