Hello, I would like to know what the antivirus system tray tool is, as I suspect it might be a virus since I no longer see the icons of my software in my taskbar and I'm also experiencing some Windows shutdown issues.
Due to my doubts, I am not posting on my affected PC which is a Windows 7 Home Premium edition.

Configuration: Windows Vista / Firefox 3.6.3

    Hi Aenarion

This is an Antivir file, we need to check this:

Download OTL (from OldTimer) and save it to your Desktop.
    http://www.geekstogo.com/forum/files/file/398-otl-oldtimers-list-it/

    - Close any running applications to avoid interrupting the scan.
    - Right-click on OTL.exe on the desktop and select Run as administrator to launch the program
    - A window will appear. In the Report section at the top of this window, check "Minimal report". Do the same for "All users".
    - Also check the boxes next to "LOP Search" and "Purity Search".

Do not change any other settings!

    - Click the Scan button.
    - Once the scan is complete, two windows will open in Notepad: OTL.txt and Extras.txt. They are located in the same place as OTListIT2 (so by default on the Desktop).

Use cjoint.com to post your reports link:
    https://www.cjoint.com/

    - Click Browse to find the report
    - Click Open then Create Cjoin link

    - Copy and paste the link in front of The link has been created: in your next response.

    Hello Aenarion

    - Restart in safe mode:

When your PC restarts, tap the F8 or F5 key, use the arrow keys on the next screen to select Safe Mode and choose your usual session.

    ---

    - Double click on the MalwareByte's Anti-Malware shortcut on the desktop.
    - Select Run a full scan if you haven't done it already
    - click on Scan

    - Once the scan is complete, a window will open, click on OK

    - If MalwareByte's found nothing, click on OK A report will appear, close it.

    - If MalwareByte's detected infections, click on Show results then on Remove selected

    - Save the report to your Desktop so it's easier to find, then post this report.

Note: If MalwareByte's needs to restart to finish the removal, accept by clicking OK
