Hello, on PC to see the date the photo was taken, you just hover the cursor over it. How do you do it on Mac?

Configuration: Mac OS X / Safari 531.22.7

    Hello,

    To get the exact date and time of the shot, it’s not enough to just read the file info.
    You need to open the photo with Preview, and in Preview, press Command-I to “Show Inspector.” Then, in the inspector palette that opens, select the “EXIF” tab, and there you can read the “Date and Time Original.”
    You will then have the exact moment of the shot indicated by the camera (provided it’s set to the correct time).

    Best regards

    Always indicate your exact configuration: Mac model and Mac OS version!

      Hello Francis

      Indeed, having seen the metadata (device, focal length, etc.), I concluded that the date was the one of the shot, but after checking the metadata in Aperture, I can only bow to your response :-)

      Best regards.

    Hi
    yeah, so you can click on the file once, then go to properties and it will show you all the details: the creation date, the modification date, and the last accessed date
    good luck !!

    Hello
    @goldensandra

    I don’t think you’re talking about macosx :-)

    @CHRIS-83

    Click on the photo and then press cmd+i (or right-click/get info). In the info window, click on the small black triangle before “more info” if “more info” isn’t open.

    Best regards.
