scan Hello,

generally I know how to create a desktop shortcut but I'm stuck on creating the
"SCAN" shortcut for the Epson printer
I can create the "Epson printer" shortcut but it was more convenient when I had the scan directly :-)
I've looked for an appropriate answer on this site but I'm going in circles because as I find really interesting tips I lose track........of my search...
thank you in advance for your help

Cat.

Configuration: Windows Vista / Internet Explorer 7.0

I don't like the word tolerance, but I can't find a better one. (Ghandi)

Hmm. I have an Epson printer. Technically, and I’m surprised you didn’t think of it, you have an Epson folder in the Start menu. And in that folder is "Epson Scan," which you just need to create a shortcut for with a simple right-click.

Thank you for your help but I still can't see it Hum:-) yet I'm looking
in Vista I click on Start then Settings then Printers then I can directly access the "icon" that shows me the printer, describes it and tells me that it is "ready"
but if I create a shortcut it is a shortcut to the printer; how can I access
to the "Epson Scan" option at that level after I will know how to manage ...
thanks in advance.

Try accessing it through the workspace. It should be C:/programs/epson. And you should find in the Epson folder the epsonscan.exe, of which I'm not absolutely sure about the name. From there, you create a shortcut.

Good evening. And as "pseudo" said, don't forget to mark your topic "resolved."

It's true, I'm sorry I still don't have the reflex to put the topic "resolved."
It's done.

The easiest solution is to download (it's free) the scanner option on Windows 10. It finds the printer, in my case, Epson Stylus 7450, and adds a tile on the dashboard. You can also drag it to the desktop. I have scanned and printed. Good luck to everyone.
